Pre-Order Policy

PREORDER POLICY

A Preorder refers to an item that has not yet arrived at our Sydney warehouse. By pre-purchasing, you can secure your item in advance. This includes custom/special orders and first/overseas batch products.

Preorders are especially important for limited-release items, as they may sell out before reaching our warehouse. Placing a preorder ensures your chance to secure these exclusive products.

Please Note: Supply quantities are subject to change without notice by the manufacturer or supplier. In such cases, your order quantity may be reduced or cancelled entirely.

Deposits

Preorder items typically offer two payment options:

  1. Full Payment: Pay the total amount upfront.
  2. Flat Rate Deposit: Pay a deposit upfront and settle the remaining balance when the item arrives at our warehouse.

All deposits—whether flat rate or full payment—secure your item but are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The deposit will only be fully refunded if Good Toys is unable to fulfill your order due to supply limitations.

Cancellation Fee

  • The non-refundable deposit serves as the cancellation fee.
  • If no deposit was required at checkout (e.g., Payment Plan/Full Payment), a 15% cancellation fee (based on the item's total value) will apply.
  • A cancellation fee applies whether the cancellation is initiated by the customer or by Good Toys due to insufficient funds or overdue payments exceeding 14 days.

3-Day Grace Period: You may cancel your order within 3 days of placing it without penalty. The non-refundable deposit will be converted to our Good Toys online store credit (no refunds for change-of-mind cancellations).

Important: The grace period does not apply to custom/special orders or first/overseas batch products.

Repeated or unreasonable cancellations may result in account restrictions for future preorders.

To cancel an order, please send us an email for cancellation including all your transaction details. Also, please ensure to put the “CANCELLATION – ORDER# (your order number)” as the email subject. Email to hello@goodtoys.com.au 

 

RELEASE DATE

Preorder release dates are estimates only and are subject to change without notice. These estimates are based on the best available information from our distributors and manufacturers.

Our release dates may differ from those listed on the manufacturer's website due to shipping durations and logistics.

We do not recommend purchasing preorder items for birthdays or time-sensitive events, as arrival dates are beyond our control.

 

CHANGE IN PRICE

If a preorder item's price increases upon arrival, Good Toys will honor the original price you paid, regardless of whether you secured the item with a flat rate deposit or full payment.

However, any new purchases made after the item's arrival will be subject to the updated price.

 

FEE DISPUTES

If a dispute or chargeback from credit card companies is initiated for non-refundable deposits, cancellation fees, or customs duties, Good Toys will provide supporting documentation, including:

  • Terms and Conditions agreed upon at checkout
  • Proof of acceptance via the required checkbox during checkout

This documentation serves as proof of the agreement and typically results in dispute dismissal.

Accounts with pending chargebacks or PayPal claims may face permanent suspension.

 

POLICY UPDATES

We reserve the right to modify this Preorder Policy at any time, with or without prior notice. Any changes will take effect immediately upon public posting.
